Accomplishments:

Incumbents Deputy Mayor Frank Czekay and Councilwoman Lauren Kochan continue to grow township services with no tax increases to the local portion of the municipal budget for the past seven years. In that time, Medford has enjoyed:

  • • No local tax increases in seven years
  • • Complete restoration of financial stability to township finances
  • • $20M debt reduction while still funding $25M in new capital improvements
  • • An increased annual budget operating surplus each year for the last several years
  • • A restored bond rating to Aa2
  • • An increase in police and public safety positions
  • • An increase in paid fire positions to enhance daytime coverage
  • • The acquisition of new property along with funding for construction of a new municipal complex with plans to incorporate a new county library
  • • Public-private partnerships with local volunteer organizations to provide events to the community with minimal cost to residents, including the annual fireworks display, Halloween parade and Dicken’s Festival
  • • Monthly food truck events on Main Street
